Running out of patience with the writers of A Different World, one concerned citizen has taken to a petition website to demand the powers that be to reboot the popular series on Netflix. “This popular show is in high demand from the fans for a prompt return,” said the creator of the petition Tina La Rosa, who got others to join her cause and now has 2,004 supporters. “A Different World brought about change in our society and touched upon many social issues we deal with today.” From the debut of The Cosby Show until the end of A Different World in 1993, the country’s 107 historically black colleges and universities (HBCUs) attendance grew by 24 percent, Dillard University President Walter Kimbrough shared.
