Big Apple Classic 2011 – Madison Square Garden

Featuring the classic rivals of the HU’s — Hampton University and Howard University, and the southern classic battle between two of the country’s top Division II schools, Virginia State University and Virginia Union University, The Big Apple Classic is a rivalry equal to that of the NY Knicks and the Boston Celtics. Launched in 2006, the Big Apple Classic is a fierce and unique competition as four rival Historically Black Colleges and Universities let the battles unfold on the court of the legendary Madison Square Garden in New York City.
