Shy-Asia Andrews is a senior at Bowie State University, where she is pursuing a degree in Emerging Media. Shy-Asia was born in the Brooklyn borough of New York, and currently resides in Baltimore, MD. Her dream is to produce and write movies under her very own film production company. Shy-Asia places education and family as the most important factors in her life. In her spare time, Shy-Asia enjoys listening to music, reading, watching movies, shopping, and spending time with friends.

Shy-Asia decided that she enjoyed blogging and article writing during an introductory print journalism class. She has been working to perfect craft ever since. After she receives her B.A. in Communications, she plans to attend graduate school while establishing her career as a writer and producer. Her dream is to produce and write movies under her very own film production company. Shy-Asia aspires to also write and produce for the television network “Investigation Discovery”, a channel focusing on criminal investigations, forensics, and murders.

Shy-Asia has worked as the social media intern for Layne Corban Bridal, a bridal boutique in the Washington Metropolitan area. Shy-Asia has also managed to stay on the Dean’s List while working her way through school. Shy-Asia is a member of Lambda Pi Eta, the communications honor society. She was also the producer and writer for a short film entitled “Bowie Hill”. Once Shy-Asia has opened a production company of her own, she would like to venture out into more forms of media and continue to find new and improved ways to reach and entertain the masses. Shy-Asia is a Staff Writer for HBCU Buzz, Inc.
