Council to Lead Integration of Electric Vehicles Into Maryland Communities Governor O’Malley recently named Morgan State Professor Z. Andrew Farkas to a newly formed state Electrical Vehicle Infrastructure Council. Dr. Farkas joins automobile manufacturers and dealers, electrical vehicle (EV) charging manufacturers and environmental and energy experts to plan and coordinate the successful integration of electric vehicles into Maryland’s communities and transportation system. The Council will develop recommendations on the supply, support systems and consumer awareness strategies the state will take to promote the use of electric vehicles in commercial and private use.

Dr. Farkas is also the Director for the National Transportation Center at Morgan State University.
