On Monday, North Carolina A&T students converged on campus at the black university for a prayer of support for fellow student Ryan Godwin, whose grandfather, Robert Godwin Sr., was killed in Cleveland. Ryan is a junior at the university.

Steve Stephens posted a video on Sunday to Facebook, sometime after he shot and killed Robert, according to Daily Beast. Now Stephens is “on the run, his ex-girlfriend is in protective custody, and the victim’s family is in grief.”
Friend Marcus Ferby, a student at NC A&T, told Spectrum News Triad, “No one really knows what he’s going through. It’s a tough time. People lose people all of the time, definitely not on camera and definitely not murder. It’s something we on A&T’s campus we don’t know exactly how it feels but the only thing we can do is provide our support.”
Ferby also confirms that Ryan is taking a break from social media in the aftermath of his grandfather’s death.
