Alabama State University in Montgomery has announced plans to offer a new master’s degree program in applied technology. The new program, which will begin this fall, has been authorized by the Alabama Commission on Higher Education. The program will include both online and traditional on-campus classes.
Alfred Smith, interim provost at Alabama State, says that “the master of science in applied technology is an innovative approach to addressing the technological needs in the workforce. The 33-hour program is designed for those with undergraduate degrees in technology, business, government, education, health-related fields, and other disciplines who are interested in designing, implementing and/or managing technology in varied environments.”
