DAHLONEGA, Ga.- Sophomore D’Shaun James recorded a time of 30:11.9 to earn 30th place and lead Albany State to an 8th place finish in the University of North Georgia Invitational. The meet featured 10 total teams and 75 competitors.
ASU recorded a total time of 30.59.6 in the 8K event. SCAD of Savannah finished in first place (28:21.8), and Shorter University was second at 28:43.5. Oglethorpe University was the third-place team with a total time of 29:29.3.
In addition to James, Jamorris Hill finished 40th (30:37.8), and Khaleed Barrett secured the 42nd spot (31.16.6). Kamil Jones was right behind Barrett with a 43rd-place finish (31:21.1).
ASU will be idle next week before hosting the Willie Laster Invitational on Oct. 1. The meet time is set for 8 a.m.
