Recently, to advance developments in Personalized Medicine, the school launched a partnership with The Personalized Medicine Coalition (PMC). As a member of this organization, the Morehouse School of Medicine will take an active role in advancing the future of Personalized Medicine. An evolving field, physicians utilize Personalized Medicine to determine medical treatments that will work best for each patient. By combining test data with an individual’s medical history, circumstances, and values, health care providers can develop targeted treatment and prevention plans.
Morehouse School of Medicine and The Personalized Medicine Coalition (PMC) will work together to proactively educate decision-makers on how Personalized Medicine can make the health system more effective and efficient; develop cutting-edge Personalized Medicine tests and therapies and; encourage Personalized Medicine adoption through demonstrating the field’s clinical and economic significance.
