Southern Athletic Director Arrested on Suspicion of Soliciting Prostitution #BuzzKiller

Greg LaFleur is free on bond after his arrest in Houston on a charge of soliciting a prostitute.

Southern University Athletic Director Greg LaFleur was arrested and booked with misdemeanor prostitution while in Houston this weekend for the NCAA men’s Final Four, authorities said.

LaFleur, 52, was arrested at 8:30 p.m. Sunday in the 1100 block of Main Street, said Jodi Silva, a spokeswoman for the Houston Police Department.

According to the criminal complaint, LaFleur is accused of soliciting a person to engage in “sexual intercourse for hire.”

It’s not clear if the person was a police officer working under cover.

He was then transferred to the Harris County Jail.

LaFleur, 9945 Cal Road, was arraigned at noon Monday and given a $500 bond, Silva said.

Claire Kennedy, a spokeswoman for the Harris County District Clerk, said LaFleur made his bond.
