1. DJ D1 – Lincoln University (PA)

DJD1 1

I’m DJ D1, a proud student at Lincoln University of PA—the first degree-granting HBCU—majoring in Criminal Justice. My DJ journey started with a deep passion for music and uplifting my community, and it’s taken me from campus parties to major HBCU events. Every time I step behind the turntables, I bring energy, authenticity, and a sound that represents the culture. Being recognized as one of the Top 5 HBCU DJs is a true honor—and just the beginning.

2. DJ Tryx – North Carolina A&T State University

DJTRYX

I’m DJ Tryx, a rising sophomore at North Carolina A&T. I started my journey sophomore year of high school and then got to NCAT as a freshman and had a great year. I got to do major events like the GHOE Pep Rally, Block Party, pageants, and more. It’s been a wild first year, and I’m just getting started. My goal is to keep building my brand and putting on for A&T every time I spin.

3. DJ Ladonn – Central State University

DJLADONN

Straight from the South Side of Chicago to Central State University, DJ LaDonn is more than just a name—he’s a movement. Though he’s only been DJing for a year, he’s already made waves, earning a spot on the 2025 Top HBCU DJ charts. Known for captivating crowds, delivering All-Star performances, and putting on for Central State, DJ LaDonn uses the power of music to bring people together and light up every campus he touches.

4. DJ Ty – North Carolina A&T State University

DJTY

I’m DJ Ty and I’m from Siler City, NC. I started DJing when I was in the 6th grade. I’m inspired by my Grandfather, Dad, and Uncle who all DJ too, so it’s definitely in my blood. The culture at NC A&T and all the other HBCUs I’ve DJ’d at inspired me to take my craft to the next level. There’s nothing like the energy, the unity, and the love for music that HBCUs bring!

5. DJ Dolo – North Carolina A&T State University

DJDolo

I’m DJ Dolo. I’m from Gastonia, NC and I go to North Carolina A&T State University. I’ve been a DJ for about 2 years, but music has been a part of me forever. What started as me vibing and recording mixes in my room turned into something way bigger than I expected and now I’m rocking gigs on and off campus, bringing energy and good vibes every time I DJ an event! It’s been a great experience that will continue to go up and I really appreciate the support from my school, my friends and family, and I’m just getting started!
