Edward Hill was named dean of the College of Education at Fort Valley State University in Georgia. Previously, Dr. Hill was an assistant professor of special education and educational leadership at the John H. Lounsbury College of Education at Georgia College and State University in Milledgeville. He previously served as a teacher and principal in the public schools and as program director of the Call Me Mister program at Benedict College in Columbia, South Carolina.

Dr. Hill is a graduate of Morehouse College where he majored in elementary education. He holds a master’s degree from Columbia College in South Carolina and an educational doctorate from South Carolina State University.
