Michael Livingston II was born in Washington, D.C. and currently resides in Laurel, Maryland. Livingston joined HBCUBuzz.com as the “In Reality” columnist shortly after graduating from Virginia Union University in 2011 with a Bachelor of Arts in English. While attending Virginia Union University, Livingston became a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., the Honda Campus All Stars, and the HIV/AIDS Peer Educators. He was the Co-Editor of the university’s 2011 literary magazine, VUU Voices. He was the editor of an independent student newsletter and wrote for the school’s newspaper, motivating him to pursue a career in journalism. Livingston’s goal as Editor in Chief is to help establish HBCUBuzz.com as the #1 source for news, commentary and events for the Black college student community.
