Xavier University of Louisiana — A Different Xavier

Led by team captains Oba El and Kyla Pigford, A Different Xavier represents Xavier University of Louisiana with a campus-inspired opening sequence about discovery, community, and finding your place as a Xavierite.

The story follows new students Indira, Shaun, and Marshawn on a campus tour with Mister and Miss Xavier. When they decide to explore on their own, the journey becomes an introduction to the people, places, and experiences that shape life at the nation’s only historically Black Catholic university.

Using the official A Different World theme song, the submission highlights campus landmarks including the chapel, University Center, Administration Building, Norman C. Francis statue, and NPHC plots. Moments featuring Live Music Friday and graduation connect everyday campus culture with the milestones students share.
