DAHLONEGA, Ga.- Freshman Channelle Wong recorded a time of 20:59.1 to garner 28th place and lead Albany State to a 9th place finish in the University of North Georgia Invitational. The meet featured 14 total teams and 119 competitors.

ASU, competing in only its second meet of the year, recorded a total time of 22.51.6 in the 5K event. The Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) in Atlanta finished in first place (18:45.8), and host North Georgia was second at 19:24.3. SCAD of Savannah was the third-place team with a total time of 19:50.8.

In addition to Wong, Raelyn Brown finished 56th (22:19.9), and Aaliyah Howard secured the 61st spot (22.35.5). Five of the six Lady Rams tallied their personal records during the meet.
