According to a report from HBCUSports.com, NFL Hall of Famer Deion Sanders will be the new head coach at the Jackson State University, an HBCU in Mississippi.
Deion Sanders, a Pro and College Football Hall of Famer, is expected to be named the next head coach at Jackson State University, sources told HBCU Sports.
A press conference, sources said, is expected Monday, September 21st at 10 a.m.
Reports of Sanders’ hire come after a school spokesperson had previously said that Sanders was not a candidate for the school’s head coaching position. Per Sports Illustrated, Sanders and the school still have a number of contractual details to smooth out, including working out the fact that Sanders is currently under contract with Under Armour while Jackson State is a Nike school.
